High Speed Rail Group members were given the chance to ‘see and feel’ the live works being undertaken at Old Oak Common on the HS2 programme with a visit hosted by SYSTRA colleagues from the Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA joint venture (BBVS JV).
Being able to see first-hand a live construction site of this scale helped bring to life the work that is taking place, and our members were really impressed by what they saw. HSRG members could view the scheme from a multi-service perspective, enabling them to visualise the current construction, transition and end phases of the project, and ultimately what will be the much wider reaching economic benefits. This forms part of the varied programme delivered by the group for the benefit of its members, and to promote the UK government’s ambition for a greener, more efficient, and interconnected future by enabling a rapid, sustainable rail network that drives economic growth and regional connectivity.
