High Speed Rail Industry Leaders has submitted a response to the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) – calling for the UK to commit to the creation of a proper national high speed rail network by 2050.
HSRIL sees the NIC as having a vital role to play in helping to define the criteria for investment and support the development of a network plan. The submission sets out how greater connectivity will position Britain to capitalise fully on the opportunities to compete on the global stage; sustaining existing industry, stimulating growth and new investment and improving productivity and outputs.
